it really really really fucking sucks that we won’t ever be able to hear any new music from her. and it also really really really fucking sucks that her vices over power her talent. she’s very very underrated. and frankly (this goes for the mourning of any celebrity who died of substance abuse problems), it pisses me off sooo much when anyone pulls that “MILLIONS OF CHILDREN IN AFRICA ARE DYING FROM STARVATION AND/OR MILLIONS OF SOLDIERS GIVE THEIR LIVES FOR US AND THEY GO WITHOUT RECOGNITION WHILE EVERYONE CRIES OVER THE DEATH OF THIS DRUGGED OUT CRACK WHORE” judgmental bullshit. BOO FUCKING HOO. PEOPLE DIE EVERY DAY. EVERY. DAY. DON’T TRY TO ACT LIKE YOU’RE SO CULTURED AND KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT LIFE’S INEQUALITY AND UNFAIRNESS BY BRINGING UP THE FACT THAT NOT EVERYONE’S DEATH IS ACKNOWLEDGED AND RECOGNIZED AS MUCH AS A CELEBRITY’S. better get used to it cuz that’s how it is and that’s how it’s gunna be. plus, i don’t see you mourning over the starving kids and dying soldiers on a regular basis anyway. you only bring it up when it’s convenient for making you look sensible. the death of a child soldier in a third world country will never get the amount of recognition as the death of a celebrity. accept it. stop trying to come off as an aware intellectual. your “thoughts” are not original or ground breaking. Besides, let the people mourn if they want to. personally, as corny as this sounds, Amy’s Back to Black album helped me pull through some difficult and low times in my life. in short, it’s good music that i can relate to when i’m feeling like shit. therefore, her music and talent is significant to me. to hear that she died breaks MY heart. it hurts ME because she played a minor role in helping me get out of a hard time and now she’s gone. i guess it’s like finding out your favorite cereal is being discontinued. or a TV show you enjoyed watching got canceled mid season. shit just sucks.

tl;dr death is death and death is sad. don’t belittle a drug-addict celebrity’s death as a way to make yourself look smart. it’s annoying.
